HYATTVILLE, Wyo. (AP) – Flooding has closed two attractions in
Wyoming’s state park system.
One is the Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site northeast of
Worland. High water on Medicine Lodge Creek has closed the site
until further notice.
The Northern Wyoming Daily News reports high water has flooded
the road and campgrounds at the site known for its American Indian
pictographs and petroglyphs.
Bear River State Park in Evanston also has closed due to
flooding. State parks officials say they expect the river to remain
extremely high through Thursday.
They say the park will reopen after it is safe for people to
re-enter the area.
