CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill says she will run for governor in 2014.
Cheyenne radio station KGAB reports (http://bit.ly/11mnT2C ) Hill made the announcement during a talk show Thursday morning.
The announcement comes two days after Gov. Matt Mead signed a bill stripping Hill of most of her power as state superintendent. Mead has appointed an interim director to lead the Wyoming Department of Education.
Hill has filed a lawsuit contesting the legislation.
