(DUBOIS, Wyo.) There’s another grizzly bear roaming the high country around Dubois today.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department trapped and relocated an adult male grizzly bear on May 6.
The bear was captured for killing livestock on private land west of Cody. In cooperation with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Shoshone National Forest, the bear was relocated to the Long Creek drainage, north of Highway 26, approximately 18 miles northwest of Dubois.
Game and Fish said the release site is located in currently occupied grizzly bear habitat.
